Miraj Mahavidyalaya, Miraj was established with the noble cause of education for the students of Eastern part of Miraj city. At present, college runs Art, Science, Commerce & B.C.A programmes. Along with this, Post-graduation programmes in Geography, English, Microbiology, and Physics are also run by college. From the academic year 2024-25, college is initiating B.C.S. programme and Career-Oriented Course in G.I.S. Our college has been accredited thrice by National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Bangalore, and has prepared for the fourth accreditation.

Students of our college have achieved remarkable success with their participation in “Yuva Mahotsav”. Death Anniversary of great social leaders is celebrated by college throughout the year. Our college students have been appreciated by Shivaji University Merit Scholarship. Along with this, the students of various colleges from Sangli Miraj Kupwad Corporation who stood first in English are felicitated by Prof. V.B. Paraddi Memorial Prize. In the year 2023, college was felicitated with “Best College Award” by Chief Election Officer (Commissioner), Maharashtra, and Collector, Sangli District for implementing innovative Voter Awareness Programme & registration of new voters. Every year, students of our college visit Home for Age. They also contribute in natural calamities, which has been taken into consideration and appreciated by the Hon’ Collector. A Residential Camp of N.S.S is organized by college every year. Zonal and Inter-zonal competitions are organized by Gymkhana department, and our college participates in the competitions. It is a matter of Alma pride that college has become a winner in zonal and inter-zonal competitions.

College also organizes U.G.C. sponsored seminars, conferences, and workshops for faculty on varied subjects. The faculty also participate in seminars and conferences organized by other colleges. They present research papers at National and International Conferences and many research articles were published in recognized Journals.

Along with this, faculty have written many articles in Research Journals. Our college has been included under the Lead College Programme and two workshops are conducted every year.

“Yashwant” magazine is published every year and students are given due opportunity and scope in it. Many students have achieved prizes for writing articles in the magazine.

I wish to mention here that all the Faculty and Non-teaching employees & students always co-operate and are dedicated in the development of college.
